8/22/2022 – As we come to the end of another tumultuous year for all, we wanted to update everyone on this year’s endeavors. At Peaceful Hugs we been able to support numerous families y assisting with health care, housing, transportation and education needs. In addition, PH’s, Legacy Children’s Academy, now has over 50 students in less than a year of operation and upgraded its outdoor playground facilities and Montessori classrooms. We have been able to provide scholarships and discounts to a number of students and are excited for further growth with the new school year starting in September. However, the opening of our Detroit and Aurora Colorado centers have been delayed due to Covid, the economy and their impact on fundraising. The Peaceful Hugs home has completed final renovations by adding additional landscaping and a new roof and paint to the garage! The house is now fully financially sustainable!

1/1/21 – OUR “PERFORMANCE for PURPOSE” efforts in 2020 generated over $88,093.00 to support our “Purpose” giving and charitable needs. 2020 was our highest year in terms of charitable giving and the number of organizations we served such as: Unbridled Acts, Breakthrough Denver, Gabriel’s Angels, and of course Peaceful Hugs (www.peacefulhugs.org), and 2021 is trending ahead of 2020! While we provided food for over 267 households (approx.. 700 people) at the height of the pandemic and helped those in need by paying utility bills, foster to adoption assistance, educational grants, and assistance to abused and women in need, it is only now that we are starting to see some bigger projects take effect. We hope the final construction projects and beautification efforts will be completed by the end of the year on our first purchased home so a family can move in. Finally we are happy to have a signature announcement for 2021….the opening of our first early learning center, Legacy Children’s Academy scheduled for September 2021.
